This redesign began with a beautifully detailed vintage ruby and diamond watch that had been in our client’s family for many years. While deeply sentimental, it was no longer being worn in its original form.

The watch featured striking rows of deep red rubies framed by brilliant white diamonds, all set in yellow gold. Its structured, geometric design gave the piece a distinctive vintage character, with rubies arranged in linear channels and diamonds adding subtle flashes of brilliance.

Each ruby and diamond was carefully removed from the watch so the stones could be preserved and repurposed. From these heirloom stones, we created a 9kt yellow gold pinky ring, set with alternating square rubies and round white diamonds in delicate claw settings across half of the band. The alternating pattern subtly echoes the gemstone arrangement from the original watch, translating its character into a modern, wearable piece.

The result is a refined pinky ring that carries the spirit of the original heirloom. A delicate band that gives new life to meaningful stones in an elegant everyday ring.
