A Little Family History Close at Hand

Some love stories are many years in the making, and this ring was a joy to help bring to life.

Our journey began when the bride-to-be came to see us with a friend. Together, we explored stone shapes and sizes, band widths and profiles, taking our time to find the details that felt just right for her.

The final design is a 1.8ct oval solitaire set in white gold, with a hidden halo of family diamonds beneath the centre stone. These smaller diamonds came from a pair of earrings passed down through the family. Once tucked away, they now form part of a ring worn every day. This quiet, meaningful detail carries a little of the family’s story into this next chapter.

We later met her soon-to-be fiancé, and it was lovely to meet the other half of this partnership. The love and excitement in the way he spoke about her, and how closely their visions aligned, made creating this ring all the more special.

Then came the message we had been waiting for:

“Hello!!  Just wanted to share the good news. Thank you so much for everything. Absolutely love the ring! Appreciate you both so much! R also emphasised what a pleasure it was working with you.”

Being trusted with a piece that holds so much meaning is one of the best parts of what we do. From the first conversation to receiving their happy news, it was a pleasure to help create a ring that brings together their vision and a little family history.

A love story many years in the making. What a privilege to have played a small part in this chapter.

Congratulations to you both.
