Custom Redesign: Wrap-Around Oval Solitaire & Wedding Band
After several years of marriage, our client came to us with a desire to evolve her wedding and engagement ring into something that felt more like her today.
Her original oval solitaire held deep meaning, but her style had shifted. She was drawn to something bolder, more sculptural, more of a statement piece. Based on this brief, together we reimagined her engagement ring into a wrap-around, east–west bezel-set oval diamond, crafted in 18kt yellow gold.
The result is a ring that feels both strong and fluid. A modern heirloom with presence, designed for everyday wear.
Reworking the Past into the Present
Rather than starting from scratch with both bands, we leaned into what already existed. Her original diamonds from her wedding band were carefully removed and repurposed into a three-quarter eternity arch band. Designed to sit perfectly alongside her new engagement ring, it curves gently to follow the silhouette of the wrap design, creating a seamless, considered stack.

A Story We Didn’t See Coming
What made this project even more special was what was happening behind the scenes. In a beautiful coincidence, both partners had been in touch with us privately. Each planning a surprise for the other.
He chose to upgrade her centre stone, increasing its size while keeping the essence of her original ring intact. At the very same time, she commissioned a 4mm sterling silver men’s wedding band for him, after he misplaced his original. Inside, she engraved it with: αγάπη μου ’21, “my love” in Greek, marking the year they were married.
They exchanged the rings on the same day. Our hearts could have exploded!
A Stone for the Future
In a deeply meaningful decision, her husband chose to set aside her original centre stone, not to be reset now, but to be passed down. One day, it will be given to one of their sons, to use in a proposal of his own. A continuation of the story in the most beautiful and meaningful way.
